... the Gathering of Geeks

Monday night was my second attendance at a GeekTogether. This is a quarterly gathering of gamers organised by the GameCircle guys. It is basically just a bunch of people having a drink in a pub and talking about a mutual interest except it's gaming and not footy. It was another interesting night of conversation for me with a few areas of Game Theory delved into. I think most gamers scoff a little at the idea of our hobby having "theories of playstyle" and such, but it makes a lot of sense to me that someone who has "winning is everything" and someone with "do something cool within the game" may have troubles both enjoying the game if they play together.
